Data Analyst
We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst, reporting to the Head of IT.
Job purpose
Responsible for Spectrum’s SQL, Oracle and MySQL data sets. To develop Spectrum’s Data Repository to hold critical site data held within our business systems (WiFi Platforms, Kiosk Management System & OPMS) for internal and external use.
In addition to provide ad-hoc reports, analyse trends, maintenance and a small amount of development. To work and manage data related projects for Spectrum’s internal and external stakeholders.
Main duties and main responsibilities:
- Responsible for analysis and capture of functional & non-functional data requirements.
- Management and delivery of current and future Spectrum data related projects including Data Warehouse, BI solutions.
- Creation of ad-hoc reports using various tools including Business Objects, Toad and SQLYog
- Ability to understand a business requirement and turn into code/report is vital
- Requirement to be alert to trends in the type of issues being raised and ensure that we implement a solution to safeguard against future issues.
Additional duties:
- Documenting and implementing best practice and processes in a growing organisation
- Data Cleansing and Corrections
- Data Archiving, Backup and Recovery
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of both MS SQL Server and MySQL.
- Toad experience for Oracle & SQL would be useful.
- Good SQL skills are vital, knowledge of PLSQL would be useful
- Good Business Objects or similar BI experience is vital.
- Understanding/Exposure to DBA skills would advantageous.

- Hours - 37.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri)
- 3 month probationary period
