What sort of security does Spectrum Interactive's WiFi service have?

Spectrum Interactive's network is one of the most secure available for public access, with 256 Bit SSL encryption to secure your data, verified by THAWTE. Whether your internet access is wireless or wired, it is essential that you take some basic steps to protect your device:
- Install a robust anti-virus software and personal firewall
- Use a secure VPN if connecting to a corporate network
- Ensure your computer is password protected
- Don't leave your laptop unattended in a public place or lock it if necessary
- Be careful not to leave credit card details exposed
- Only enter any personal banking details once you know the website is secure (look for the padlock icon on your browser)

What sort of speeds does Spectrum Interactive's WiFi service have?

Spectrum endeavours to provide each customer with a hi-speed WiFi connection. We do this by monitoring the bandwidth used and if necessary, we throttle the bandwidth of heavy users (who repeatedly download large files). This prevents an impact on other users, ensuring that everyone receives a consistently reliable hi-speed WiFi connection.
At some locations, such as Manchester Airport, we provide a short-term limited access WiFi service which is limited access.

What sort of tariff is there for Spectrum Interactive's WiFi service?

Please see the local WiFi landing page for the tariff at your location.

Can I roam on the Spectrum Interactive WiFi network?

We have a roaming partnership with Boingo and iPass so if you have a membership with either of these companies, you are able to roam onto our network.
